The new campus of the UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital is open! Rosalie went to her first appointment there last week. I was so happy to see the same greeter that was at the Parnassus Campus. I think he recognized us and asked us if he could help. Amazing how even in a beautiful, state-of-the art setting, it's a smile that makes a difference.
I also recently stumbled across this article where a photo of Teddy is featured. He is such a ham.

No news was good news!
Dear Friends,
I am SO sorry for not posting sooner. In this case, no news the day of Rosalie's scan meant GOOD news. We just got carried away with summer!
Rosalie had a clear scan on July 1. On July 4, we traveled to the east coast to see family and went on two terrific trips: one to Italy for my mother's 70th birthday celebration, one to Belize for a reunion of Mark's friends.
Rosalie, Susannah, and Teddy started school on August 18 (her birthday!) and are already in the swing of things here in San Francisco.
I will attach a few photos.
With love,
Carolyn & the Reibels

Routine MRI
Send good thoughts to Rosalie as she goes under anesthesia for her routine MRI of the brain and spine tomorrow morning.
We love you!
We love you!
Summer Fun at Okizu!
Both Rosalie and Susannah have enjoyed a week at Camp Okizu this summer. Rosalie attended Oncology Camp in early June; Susannah went to Siblings Camp in late June. They both came home with smiles and stories!
Here are some photos of their departures and returns. We don't have any photos of their actual adventures at camp - as we were not there! But each of them took a disposable camera to camp - perhaps there will be a few winners to post.
Cheers,
Carolyn

Hip - hip - hooray!
Good news from UCSF! We are sticking with scans every six months, though the idea of switching to yearly scans was discussed. We decided that since she took chemotherapy until the fall of 2009 we should count out five years from that date.
My brain is a little fried from all of her appointments. For the past year, her specialists have used a clinic format which is terrific. Now I know that all of her specialists are communicating with one another and we don't have to come back to UCSF time after time after time.
This evening we got to see Teddy's first preschool performance, a Nursery Rhyme Review. Then the girls worked on their "egg drop" assignments for an annual school event that takes place tomorrow.
All in all - a blessed day!
